Sure hope it sees the light and ends up as a movie on screen 🤞, bought both the physical and audiobook versions, and really enjoyed it. Very relatable the fandom within the book bringing friends together, I’ve experienced that with KE in the UK & NYC, minus the whole running from the law/gangs bit.
I've just ordered the book after reading this. Jen Richards is an amazing actress. I first discovered her work when she played the young Anna Madrigal (Olympia Dukakis played the older Anna Madrigal) in "Tales of the City" (2019) on Netflix.
I got the audio book, currently listening to it, but indeed: if possible, get your books from your local independent bookstore. They are all struggling...

Loved reading Panic. I didn’t want this book to end! It would be a fabulous TV series, fingers crossed it comes to fruition one day soon.
