My heart was actually pounding as V approached the bridge and I had to pause to laugh at myself a littleβdidnβt realize how nervous I was all of a sudden for Villanelle that things might go sideways on Eveβs part. But apparently I was too distracted by that to have even considered this outcome. Clearly Villanelle experienced the same. Definitely love. My heart! <3
Hi Luke! Hi dear readers! I think it's time we bring Killing Eve back on television! It will be just one conclusive episode (different finale, of course). I already have some ideas that we might discuss. What do you think?
London Town ππππ―π₯Omg gobsmackedβ¦β¦.. Luke the mastermind you genius! You have just brought us back to a moment & are recreating it you are an absolute Legend ππππ―π₯π«‘ take your π sir ! You are turning that traumatising ending from the show on its head ππππ₯³π―π₯! I agree with another comment bring it back to Tv different finale ! What a cliffhangerπ’ my heart is in my mouth right now π€―π Balice has to get it bad . Luke you have us barely holding on to the edge of our seats π love it Thank you so much π₯°. Iβm going to be praying this week goes fast as Iβm back to counting down days&hours π€£ Iβm done for π€¦ββοΈπ€£! That she is me and I am her, and that this is what love isβ¦..powerful line! Was this a dream?
What? What happened to Villanelle? She was shot in the head??? Eve dragged her into the water. They cannot die! They have to live! Luke, what has happened? Please let our girls be okay. At last Villanelle is reunited with her Eve and she loves her completely, as does Eve love Villanelle! Please write the next chapter soon, Luke! This cannot be the end! No, please no! Eve must help Villanelle heal! Luke, please help! I'm scared. π¨
I mean, it is fiction, so technically anything is possible. However, so far the entire Villanelle series has been pretty much grounded in logic. If that continues to be so, Villanelle herself telling us about her experience of being shot (and her love insight) probably means she survived. After all it isn't a ghost story. If she didn't survive, I'll bang my head on a table and spend the rest of my life facepalming or something...
Having to wait another week for the next chapter is just π«. Can Balice meet a similar end as did Anton at the hands of Eve, I sure like to see Dark Eve again, especially Villanelle π.
What!!! I was expecting - something - but not this. Balice wouldn't dare set this up...would she? Do we have yet another organization come into play? Or is this the conniving Twelve?? Oh Luke!
Ehm... did anyone notice that Villanelle tells about being shot in first person? Unless we are entering esoteric realms here, logic demands that she cannot be dead... usually the dead don't report about their own demise in first person narrative, so I'd say there is significant leeway for hope here :-D
Please No. just No. donβt be cruel to KE fans. The KE tv series recently returned to streaming and itβs been 2 yrs and a week since the day that disastrous finale aired. We do not want a repeat. It just stings with the timing and all, or perhaps it was your intention all along. Haha.
Great cliffhanger otherwise, if solely based on the books. *returns to ao3 fanfic to heal my KE heart*
Hm. Since Villanelle herself explains her experience of being shot I'm afraid she really was shot. So I don't think it is about the two of them faking anything. At least V isn't dead, otherwise she couldn't tell us. It still is torture. She could be paralyzed or in coma for who knows how long -- anything. But she is not dead. She mustn't be. I insist on that one!
Oh my God, not again Lucas! All a setup by that bastard Balice. Of course there would be problems, but I thought they were going to shoot Eve, but was it Villanelle? You have no idea how much the last episode of the TV Series hurt... I still can't watch it all to this day. I'm in tears, I'm glad Eve caught her and they jumped off the bridge, now we have to wait for the next moments. Too strong and intense chapter.
Hello my dear! Yes, I read all three books and that's what calmed my heart. But to this day I can't watch the last chapter of the series. I thought they were very cruel to both of them during season 4. At the end of the third season, Eve no longer ran away from her feelings. "When I think about my future, I see her face, again, again." But in season 4, she rejects her love for Villanelle again and tries to push her away in every way, including having her arrested. It was cruel to the actresses, as it was to the fans. Of course one of the two could die, they lived on the edge of danger all the time, but letting them accept the feeling and then killing one of them was very cruel. At least in the book they survived and were fine for a while, at least until now.
I try to avoid watching TV shows and movies based on books - for the most part out seems that film makers tend to butcher the original material. I've read that the actresses who portrayed Eve and Villanelle were very good, but I still don't plan to watch the series.... not that I have much choice, considering that we've dispensed with both cable and streaming platforms in our house (too much buck, not enough bang). I prefer books anyway. π
Understandably, but despite the storyline flaws of the TV series the combination of Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer is nothing short of otherworldly. It is an interesting and in parts rather weird show, largely a great one (Emmy and Golden Globe Awards don't come for nothing), and whenever the writing falters, especially in season 4, SO and JC bravely carried through. Just those damn last two minutes -- of 32 episodes, mind you. I only wish the show runners had stayed closer to Luke Jenning's really fabulous source material... The original material was indeed butchered, and quite literally so in this case.
Hello! yes, the acting of actresses Sandra Oh and Jodie Commer are unquestionable! And not only them, but I also loved Fiona as Carolyn. Killing Eve is a series that had me hooked from start to finish. Everything about it is wonderful: its photography, plot, soundtrack and of course, the actors' performances. What saddened me was that the fourth season didn't have much to do with the other three. I could also talk about Eve's past (who is my favorite character in the series). How the darkness inside her was born, her story. And finally, I hoped that the season would be with the two fighting together against a common enemy, like Carolyn for example. But the series remains one of my favorites, and I've watched it several times. However, in the last chapter I can't watch the whole thing unfortunately.
Same, same. It really irritated me that we learn practically nothing about Eve's background. Why? After all she is the title character. Where does this "We are the same" come from? Or Villanelle saying "You were never like them. You only thought you were". (S3E8). Not sure if I missed it, but as far as I recall it there wasn't so much as a hint about Eve's past, except that her parents were divorced, she moved to Connecticut with her dad and moved back after he had died. That was about it about her family history, wasn't it? How did she end up with MI5? What triggered her fascination with female assassins? Who was/is her mother and what is their relationship? Nada! Otherwise I agree: fantastic, yet utterly unsatisfying...
i read the books first and was excited to watch the tv show and see the scenes from the book come to life in the tv show but it is so completely different that i couldn't help be disappointed by it but if it wasnt for jodie comer being villanelle I would have hated it but jodie comer is brilliant as villanelle but I still do prefer the books
LUKE! LUUUUUKE! LUUUUUUUUUKE!! (Pauses for breath.) LUUUUUUUUUUUKKE!!!
Tower Bridge... London Bridge...
A shot through the chest... A shot through the head...
"Jump, Eve!" vs Eve bodying Villanelle over the side of the bridge...
This means the ending will also be different!!! πππππππ₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯°π₯°π₯°π₯Ίπ₯°π₯°π₯Ίπ₯Ίπ«£π₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯°

Damn, that was an unexpected end to the chapter. Not unlikely, but still a surprise. I love the interplay between these two characters

This is Torture. Just hope there is a rescue boat and they are faking their deaths to start a new life in peace.
