I love the description of Eve thumbing the poor cat’s clawless paw. I could feel it. And Villanelle’s love language of Eve loving her, claws and all, and Eve being “worse” than her will never stop being perfect. I think that’s the line of reality that runs through the delightful indulgence of heroizing an assassin (and also what the tv finale got so wrong and why it hurt so badly). It’s so much better to see them figuring out how to love and be loved. Even (especially?) in the midst of violence and intrigue. ;) That’s our gals!

The absolute trust Eve and Villanelle have with each other is beautifully written. I also love how you described their romantic moment together...just enough to give the reader a sense where this moment was headed.
