Friends, that day is here, and I hope you enjoy Resurrection. Coincidentally, today is also the day that I delivered the novel which will follow it. Its working title is Killing Eve: Long Shot, and it’s set in the world of horse racing.
The way these things work is that I send my draft to my editor, and she will spend the next week reading it, then send me her thoughts and suggestions. I incorporate these, then the text goes to a copy editor, who combs through it for typos, inconsistencies, factual errors, etcetera. Gradually we all work towards a final version, which will come out, all being well, this autumn.
Meanwhile, I’m starting to think about the next one. Not in terms of plot at this stage, but with a view to identifying a new setting, a new milieu, within Eve and Oxana’s world. This setting, once I get it right, will dictate the plot. So stick around! All manner of adventures lie ahead of us.
And come, if you can, to the 2025 Killing Eve London picnic and book-signing next Sunday (8 June). We’re meeting, from midday, at the bandstand in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, WC2A 3CD (2 mins from Holborn tube station).
Happy reading - Luke
